THE FOUNDER AND HER PHILOSOPHY
Creative Director & Founder of Yaropa, Yara Pessoa is born in Switzerland with Brazilian heritage, Yara embodies a unique bi-cultural identity that blends the elegance and precision of Swiss design with the warmth, creativity and vibrancy of Brazil.
Yara spent much of her childhood in Brazil, immersed in its unique culture —the music, the colors, the beaches, the rhythm of everyday life. These experiences shaped her worldview and deeply influence her creative vision.
In Brazil, there is a beautiful word for this longing – saudades. Since childhood, Yara’s favorite outfit has always been a Brazilian bikini, allowing her to feel connected to the beach no matter where she is. It remains her loyal companion, a timeless symbol of joy, freedom and confidence. She believes that no one crafts swimwear quite like the Brazilians and is passionate about sharing this excellence with women around the world.
As the years passed, her saudade only grew – longing for family, the joy of life, rich colors, breathtaking nature, the sea, and the warmth of the beach.
